Day 1 OrléansIndividual arrival in Orléans, hometown of Joan d'Arc. Here you will receive your information package and when rented your rental bike. At the hotel is a free (unsupervised) parking space for your car.

Day 2 Orléans – Beaugency/St. Dyé (30/50 km)Cycling along the Loire you arrive at the Cathedral of Clery St. André. From here you will continue to the castles of Meung sur Loire and to the castle of Chateaudun. In Beaugency or in the old port town of St. Dye, with a beautiful medieval centre you will spend the night.

Day 3 Beaugency/St. Dyé – Blois (30/50 km)Past the largest and most famous castle on the Loire: Chambord, with 444 rooms and a huge park, listed on the Unesco World Heritage List, you will cycle further through the forest of Boulagne to the castle of Cheverny which modelled for Molensloot castle from Tintin. The last castle you can visit today is Beauregard castle, then cycle on to the picturesque town of Blois with its narrow streets for your overnight stay.

Day 4 Blois – Amboise (45 km)After visiting the city and Blois castle, cycle through the woods to the city of Onzain. Here you can visit Chaumont Castle, also an Unseco heritage, located at the top of a hill and with stunning views over the Loire. The cycling day ends in Amboise with the enchanting castle that towers high above the city.

Day 5 Amboise – Tours (55 km)After a tour through the forest of Amboise you arrive in Chenonceaux, one of the most beautiful Renaissance castles that has been built very particularly over the River Cher. You will continue to cycle along the River Cher until you arrive at the city of Tours. Along the way, you can choose to make a short stop at the castle of Nitray, known for the delicious vouvray wine where they still stick the labels on the bottle by hand.

Day 6 Tours – Chinon (60 km)Between the two rivers the Loire and the Cher you cycle to the castle of Villandry, with its beautiful ornamental and vegetable garden. Before you arrive in the atmospheric medieval Chinon, you have the opportunity to visit Ussé where you can visit the Castle of Sleeping Beauty.

Day 7 Chinon – Saumur (35 km)The bike tour continues today through the vineyards of the rosé region of Bourgueil to Savigny, Beron and Gandes St-Martin. Just a few kilometres away the Montsoreau Castle is located, where you can enjoy the scenery at Fontevraud Abbey. The cycling day ends in Saumur, pearl of the Anjou, where you will stay overnight.
