Lake Constance

Day 1, Arrival

in Bregenz. Distribution of the rental bikes and travel documents. Free parking available ca. 15 minutes walk from the Info-Point or garage parking at a central location (ca. €10, - per day payable at
the garage).

Day 2, Arbon (41 km)

Through the nature reserve Seespitz then along the banks of the lake on the Swiss side. Past Rorschach to our destination of the day. 

Day 3, Singen/Rieslasingen (63 km)

On the way to Kreuzlingen past impressive parks and bathing beaches. Continuing along the lake to reach the day’s destination. 

Day 4, Schaffhausen & Rheinfall (50 km)

An excursion to the Swiss watch-making town (Location of the famous Munot Fortress). Then, an exciting trip to see Europe’s largest waterfall, the Rhine-fall, boat trip is also included. Return
by bike to the hotel. Overnight stay same as the day before.


Day 5, Konstanz (45 km)

Across the Höri peninsular and Radolfzell to the island of
Reichenau (trip round the island + 14 km) and then to the
destination of the day.

Day 6, Friedrichshafen (46 km by bike, 15 min by ferry)

Along the lake to the flower island of Mainau (entrance included). By ferry from Wallhausen to Überlingen and then by bike to the Birnau Abbey. Past Meersburg to Friedrichshafen – known as the ‘Zeppelin town’ of Lake Constance.

Day 7, Bregenz (38 km)

Through the nature reserve of Argenmündung (possibly making a detour to Laimnau + 18 km) and then returning via the charming island city of Lindau and back to Bregenz.

Day 8, Return

Leave after breakfast or make a further booking for some additional nights.


Fly to Zurich and start this trip in Konstanz. (program and prices on request)














You will stay in good middle class hotels and familiar hotels and inns. Daily breakfast buffet. Half board bookings with seasonal specialties of the Swiss-Swabian cuisine at the hotel or in very good restaurants, 5 min away.

When you are arriving on Friday, Saturday or sunday from 19th July to 20th August you may also sleep in the near by village Bregenz-Wolfurt or Dornbirn in the 4☼☼☼☼Hotels Sonne, Bischof or Krone.

Start your holiday in Bregenz (where you can park your car for free 2km near our infopoint - or at a parking Garage appr. €10,- per day) or starting in Friedrichshafen, or Salem, if you would like to. The most cycling pathes go to the famous waterfall "Rheinfall" in Schaffhausen.
